What can I say, an experience worthy of note.

From the 3rd to the 7th of February 2023 Pnp Plast had the pleasure to participate in Christmasworld, the biggest international exhibition completely dedicated to the world of CHRISTMAS, but not only that.

It was actually more than that. A huge project that brought together three events in one, giving new life to the concept of exhibition, which because of Covid had dozed off.

Christmasworld, Ambiente and Creativeworld brought together a total of 4561 exhibitors and impressed more than 150 thousand visitors.

They were dizzying numbers accompanied by a great desire to get back in the game and meet.

But now we can stop being so analytical, we decided to tell you in detail what happened at Christmasworld interviewing the Sales Manager of PNP, Simone Nannini, and his brother Luca, who had the pleasure of being present for the first time at this unique event.

Good morning Simone, glad to have you with us. From what we saw it was a really interesting exhibition and certainly even more for you, since it was the first time. What was the initial impact of attending such a big event?

«Good Morning! Well I must say that I was very impressed by the fact that from the first day there was a huge turnout in the stands and we also had a great deal to do right away. Our simple and modern stand really attracted the attention. It must have been the white carpet»

So much modesty! More than the white carpet, I think you have displayed some great products and highlighted the values that embraces your company.

«Surely our green wall with all our eco-sustainable products on display has not gone unnoticed. We could not do otherwise. The Messe Frakfurt jury awarded us the “Ethical Style” label for our range of eco-sustainable products, including our notorious Compost Film. We could not disappoint expectations.»

By now your eco-friendly reputation precedes you. Was there anything else that differentiated you from others?

«We received many compliments for our Patterns and some keen eye noticed that in our booth there were many young faces. We strongly believe in giving a sense of continuity and modernity to the company»

I think it is a prominent element especially for an Italian company. So to get to the heart of the interview, what struck you most?

«Mmh, I think that although the thousands of innovative products and ideas exposed what strucked me most were people. Despite the wars and the price increase, those who attended the exhibition brought a great desire to get involved and create new networks. If in the past years everyone tended to think exclusively of their interests, this year there was a turning point and a constant exchange of ideas and tips about the various trends. It can be said that partnerships are landing in the world of Packaging, with a strong interest that comes above all from Italian companies. Who knows, tomorrow we might even go as a group»

Wow, we can’t say it’s a dying field then…

«No, I would say no, indeed it is developing more and more. Attending this exhibition for us was also a little test to see after 3 years without exposing, how the market would respond and how much attendance there would be. The packaging industry was going under due to the redundancy of the same items, but now thanks to innovative ideas and sustainability we can make it re-emerge. At Christmastworld we were the only ones to have a product like PLA, and this allowed us to create a lot of connections. In many European countries they have banned the use of plastic in wrapping and PLA, as a new, biodegradable and safe product, has allowed us to answer correctly to the question that had arisen.»

Well, I’d say it was a big hit then.

«We certainly received a positive feedback and we also had the opportunity to expand our network, from northern Europe and Israel, to Panama.

Now our goal is to strive more and more to optimize processes in a sustainable way and bring to the next Christmasworld some other noteworthy news.»

Great. But what about the other stands?

«I let my brother Luca talks about this, as well as Graphic Designer of the company who has gone deeper into the exhibition looking for new ideas and ideas.»

«Good morning. Yes, let’s say I had the task of the observer. I went through all the stands, but I was fascinated especially by Ambiente. There were design pieces that left me speechless, like benches that reacted according to the position of the person sitting on them or interior design inspired by fairy tales like Alice in Wonderland. It was a real artistic and creative journey.

What personally interested my work, however, were the combinations between the various trendy colors, and find what could be the common elements among the various stands.

Of course, what has emerged is that everyone is moving towards green and sustainability, especially in food packaging, where more waste occurs, and in toys, perhaps to educate a little more the new generations.»

You’ve been very thorough. Thank you very much.
